About:

Eskild Okkenhaug is a 26 years old bassist currently living in Oslo. He is a versatile musician, composer and arranger involved in a vast range of projects. He holds a bachelor’s degree in jazz performance from the Jazz Department at NTNU in Trondheim (2018–2021). Following his undergraduate studies, he completed a one-year program in arranging and composition under the mentorship of renowned composer Henning Sommerro. In 2025, he took part of the jazz composition course led by Helge Sunde at Norges Musikkhøgskole.

In addition to this, Okkenhaug has worked full-time as a performing musician for the last 4 years. He frequently initiates his own projects and often takes on the role of bandleader or creative driver. Okkenhaug’s dedication to his craft gives his sound a vibrant edge – making him a name to watch in the coming years.
